The color, shape, or texture of the fabric plays a key role here and depends on the style you choose. Keep in mind that you don't always have to place a pendant light in the center of the room. The important thing is how you will use the room and which areas you will need to illuminate. A dominant pendant chandelier is suitable for a large living room with a high ceiling. In the kitchen, you will need one main light for the entire space and a second one to illuminate the dining table. This should always be a pendant light and should hang no more than sixty centimeters above the tabletop. For the bedroom, choose a pendant light with a covered light source that provides indirect light and does not shine directly into your eyes, even when you are lying in bed. Today, you can choose from many styles of pendant lamps—classic white spheres, colored glass shades, plastic cutouts, or patterned fabric shades. Some pendant designer lamps also include a cable support system that holds the weight of the light. This allows designers to use the cable for more than just supplying electricity and are not limited by the weight of the shade. As a result, the light fixture can be more spectacular, made of heavier materials. Such pendant lights are often a design feature that becomes the focal point of the room.
